QuickBooks Credit Card Charges

Difficulty:

Q 1. Paul bought items from various vendors through his credit card. In his QuickBooks, he recorded each transaction by proceeding into the bill and putting in the credit card as his vendor, assuming he has to pay that money back on the credit card. In the account section, he puts in the type of expense.

You are about to meet Paul to advise him regarding this process; what would be your advice?
The process is similar to entering credit card charges, therefore, nothing needs to be done.
He should never put in his credit card as his vendor, instead, he should create an expense entry only when the payment is made.
The correct process is navigating to the journal and posting the entry by debiting the expense and crediting the cash.
This process will not enable QuickBooks to record the charges to the credit card register and reconciliation cannot be achieved. He should rather enter it through the credit card charges method and create a bill later.
